IPL 2018: Gayle's 104 not out powers KXIP to 193/3 against Sunrisers

Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their first match to Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) by 15 runs in pursuit of 194. KXIP kept it tight and did not let SRH batsmen score runs. Earlier, Gayle scored the first ton of the IPL 2018. With the win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab consolidated their position in the top three of VIVO IPL Points table.
Sunrisers Hyderabad had a bad start to their innings as opener Shikhar Dhawan was retired hurt after being hit on the elbow in the first over. After that Wriddhaman Saha was dismissed cheaply and Yusuf Pathan followed him soon after. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has been chasing 194 runs, thanks to Chris Gayle's brilliant century.
Powered by Chris Gayle 100, Kings XI Punjab made 193-3 from 20 overs. Gayle hit massive sixes and four all around the ground and smashed Rashid Khan for four consecutive sixes. He was helped by all the other batsmen who came in. The run rate of Kings XI Punjab maintained the run-rate throughout their innings. Chris Gayle smashed one four and 11 sixes. He remained not out through the innings
