Trump team paid $130,000 to hush porn star after an alleged affair: Reports

Donald Trump

A lawyer for US President Donald Trump arranged to fork over $130,000 in hush money to a former porn star a month before the 2016 election over an alleged affair, a new report has said.

Popularly known as "Stormy Daniels" had a "hookup" with Trump the married future President in 2006, the New York Post said.

Michael Cohen, an attorney for the Trump Organisation, set up the payment to the woman - whose real name is Stephanie Clifford - in a negotiated nondisclosure agreement, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

Clifford alleged that the "hookup" took place in July 2006 - a year after Trump married his third wife and present First lady Melania Trump.

Clifford said they met at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.

The White House minimised the salacious revelation - one of many alleged incidents of inappropriate behaviour with women the President has faced and denied, the NYP report said.

"These are old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election," a White House official told the WSJ.

The official would not answer questions about the reported deal with Clifford - who performed in about 150 porn films, including "Dirty Deeds", "Nymphos" and "Good Will Humping", a XXX-rated spoof of the flick "Good Will Hunting".

Melania slams Trump's first wife for calling herself 'first lady'

Even the US President has described Melania Trump (pictured), a 47-year-old former model and native of Slovenia, as more happy at home than working the social scene

Donald Trump's current wife Melania slammed the US President's first wife, Ivana who called herself "first lady" as "attention-seeking and self-serving noise", the media reported.

On Monday, Ivana Trump in an ABC interview ahead of the release of her memoir, "Raising Trump", said she was "basically first Trump wife, I'm first lady".
The Czech-American businesswoman also boasted of having a direct line to the White House which she uses to she talk to the President about once every 14 days.

"I have the direct number to White House but I don't really want to call him there because Melania is there and I don't really want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that because I'm basically first Trump wife, OK? I'm first lady, OK?" she told ABC, laughing.

The current First Lady fired back via a sharply-worded statement to CNN from her communications director, Stephanie Grisham later on Monday.

"Mrs. (Melania) Trump has made the White House a home for Barron and the President. She loves living in Washington D.C., and is honoured by her role as First Lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books," Grisham said in the statement

You're in such good shape, beautiful, Trump tells Macron's wife

You're in such good shape, beautiful, Trump tells Macron's wife

US President Donald Trump praised French First Lady Brigitte Macron for being in "such good shape" during his first official visit to Paris, the media reported.

"You're in such good shape. She's in such good physical shape. Beautiful," Trump told the French President's wife on Thursday, who was standing next to US First Lady Melania Trump.

Earlier in the day, at the welcome ceremony in Paris, Trump and Brigitte Macron extended their hands to one another, fumbling to make contact for a handshake, before they embraced for a traditional kiss on the cheek. Afterward, they rejoined hands while they continued to talk, reports CNN.

However, social media immediately reacted with many users denouncing Trump's comments as sexist, reports the Guardian.
"Trump telling France's First Lady 'you're in such good shape' epitomises men toeing the line between compliment and sexual harassment," wrote Twitter user Alex Berg, a freelance video producer and writer who works on feminist and gender issues.

After 6-month delay, Melania, son Barron joins Donald Trump in White House

Melania Trump

The White House has two new occupants: US First Lady Melania Trump and her son Barron have finally moved in to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Six months after President Donald Trump arrived, the Slovenia-born former model and the couple's 11-year-old son joined him last night, an aide to the First Lady told AFP.

The pair had previously stayed in New York so that Barron could complete the school year. He is expected to attend St. Andrews Episcopal school, just outside Washington, in the 2017-2018 session.

Before reaching the capital Melania and Barron descended the steps of Air Force One alongside President Trump at Joint Base Andrews, with the youngster -- decked in a tee-shirt that read 'The Expert' -- playing with a fidget spinner.

Melania's parents had joined them for the short flight from Bedminster, New Jersey, where Trump had spent the weekend at his golf course.

After arriving at the White House Melania tweeted a picture from a window looking on to the South Lawn and the Washington Monument.

"Looking forward to the memories we'll make in our new home! #Movingday" she wrote.

Melania is the first First Lady in modern history to delay her arrival in Washington after an election win.

During the week at least, Trump had been living alone in the vast, private quarters of the White House as he fends off the flood of reporting over Russia having allegedly meddled in the 2016 US election with the aim of helping him defeat Hillary Clinton.

The first lady has mostly kept a low profile since her real estate mogul husband became president.

Arguably, her biggest public outing came last month when she and Trump visited the Middle East and Europe on a trip that the White House later praised as a resounding success.
